Helene’s professional learning session on ‘Tips and Tricks’ for teachers differentiating for students at risk in the classroom, was a practical one-hour session. Teachers gained a clear understanding of how students might struggle in the classroom setting and how they can differentiate their lessons to ensure all students show growth with their learning. The information shared were strategies that could be applied instantly in the teachers’ classrooms. Helene’s classroom teaching and MSL tutor experience enable her to confidently and easily explain strategies that teachers could apply also with confidence. I highly recommend her sessions to any school who is committed to all students showing spelling learning growth and want their students to be confident when spelling.

Helene launched her Dyslexia Unravelled website this year with a great deal of helpful and insightful information for parents and teachers. As a teacher and mother of a dyslexic child, I found a wealth of information that I could implement at home and in my classroom. Helene came to our school and ran a PD for our staff and helped to demystify dyslexia. As she has worked with many dyslexic children, she was able to speak from first hand experience as to the best strategies to help these students.
