Creating awareness, dispelling myths and highlighting strengths
Dyslexia affects at least 20% of the population yet most educators (and parents) are unaware of what is and how to deal with it. We aim to create awareness and highlight strengths and help children to navigate their learning years successfully.
It can be extremely daunting for a parent and/or teacher to realise that your child/student is having difficulty learning to read and spell, particularly when they have strengths in other areas. Dyslexia is far more common than most may realise. There is an enormous amount of information available about dyslexia, however navigating this information can be extremely overwhelming. Dyslexia Unravelled aims to provide the information to parents and teachers in a succinct manner covering the basic facts with simple and practical advice in how to move forward. Personal experience has shown that there is a critical need for awareness and this is what we aim to provide here in a simple and practical manner.
“One thing we know about dyslexia is that this is one small area of difficulty in a sea of strengths”
